Opening Reception:

In After the Flood, what appears mechanical reveals itself as deeply human. Standard plumbing fixtures become portraits, not of specific people, but of the conditions of being human.
Rendered with an energetic, instinctive approach, these ordinary forms explore the overlap between infrastructure and the experience of being human; both governed by pressure, capacity, tolerance, maintenance, and failure. Created in 2026, the series favors immediacy over precision, transforming industrial forms into something unexpectedly alive.
OK Studio
Ozzie Kiska is the art practice of Chris Lester, a Bethesda, Maryland–based artist working across drawing, painting, and mixed media. Trained at Pratt Institute and shaped by a career building brands internationally, his work is characterized by an energetic, instinctive, and unrestricted approach.
Lester’s practice explores the tension between utility and emotion, structure and vulnerability, often finding human stories within overlooked objects and systems. Through expressive gestures, familiar forms are transformed into studies of symbolism and transformation.
